Eno Tiwaa, a long serving member of the gospel group Yaw Sarpong and the Asamofo, has died.
She passed away in wee hours of Sunday, 7 December 2025.
Manager of the group, Nana Poku Ashis, told myjoyonline.com that she had been unwell for a couple of weeks.
He said Eno Tiwaa will be remembered for her selflessness and the sacrifices she made for Yaw Sarpong and the group.
According to him, for the past 40 years, “Eno Tiwaa has contributed so much to the group and Yaw Sarpong. She always made sure Yaw was in a good condition.”
Before her death, she was the one caring for Yaw Sarpong who has also been battling illness in recent years.
Tiwaa was known for her silky voice and had been hailed by many music lovers as one of Ghana’s golden voices. In 2021, she had her very first nomination in the 3Music Awards’s female vocalist category.
At the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards held on 10th May 2025, she put up a spectacular performance after receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of Yaw Sarpong and Asomafo.
