Management of gospel musician Esther Smith has dismissed as false and misleading reports circulating on social media alleging that Pastor Elvis Agyemang of Alpha Hour demanded or received money in exchange for prayers.
In a statement issued to clarify the matter, the management described the claims as a gross distortion of facts and urged the public to disregard the narratives.
According to the statement, interactions between Esther Smith’s team and Pastor Elvis Agyemang, as well as the Alpha Hour team, were marked by respect, dignity and genuine pastoral care. “At no point was any amount requested, demanded, or charged for prayers,” the statement said.
The management added that adequate security and support were provided throughout the engagement, stressing that all interactions were conducted with professionalism and integrity.
The statement further described Pastor Elvis Agyemang as a leader who has consistently demonstrated character, accountability and transparency, noting that any portrayal suggesting otherwise is inaccurate and should be disregarded.
The public, the Alpha Hour family and fans of Esther Smith were urged to ignore speculation, sensational headlines and misrepresentations currently circulating on social media.
Management also called on media practitioners and bloggers to exercise responsibility by verifying facts before publication and avoiding content that could mislead the public or damage reputations.
“This statement is issued in the interest of truth, clarity and peace,” it said.
