First Lady of Ghana, Lordina Mahama, says collaboration among women leaders across Africa is key to driving sustainable social transformation and improving community livelihoods.
Mrs Mahama made the statement following her meeting with Zambia’s First Lady, Mutinta Hichilema, in Lusaka on Friday, February 6, during President John Dramani Mahama’s official three-day State Visit to Zambia.
She said the engagement allowed both leaders to reflect on their shared commitment to service and to identify opportunities for joint action in areas such as education, health, and community empowerment.
“I was delighted to share the impactful stories and work of the Lordina Foundation,” Mrs Mahama said, adding that she was inspired by Mrs Hichilema’s dedication to serving her people.
According to her, the exchange reinforced the importance of solidarity and partnership among women leaders beyond national boundaries.
“When women leaders unite across borders, we will amplify our impact and create lasting change for our communities,” she said.
