Amidst exploits in recording and performing his poetry, he has spread his tentacles, making his words worthy for both the stage and the page, as acknowledged in the introduction of his maiden anthology (collection of poems). The collection of poetry is over a decade old in the making. Though he began writing lyrics from teenagehood, 2011 marks the year he began writing poetry properly, so-called.
The anthology, titled ‘POEMATIC – THE KICKSTART’, is artistically crafted to arouse your appetite for poetry. The book cover is in green with all inscriptions and front cover design printed in three-dimensional (3D) spot varnish. Veteran actor, playwright and poet, Mr David Dontoh, Order of the Volta Recipient, 2006 (Grand Medalist, Ghana), succinctly scripted the Foreword of the anthology. The anthology has a total of twenty poems varying from themes such as awareness, consciousness, oneness, reflection, and protection, amongst others.

Some of the titles include ‘All We Have’, ‘Emergency’, ‘Family Tree’, ‘Money’, ‘My Poiesis Pledge’, ‘Paparazzi’, ‘Some Days’, ‘The Haven’, amongst others.
According to the author, the product is for everybody as it is for students of literature and lovers of poetry. He envisages continuing on the pathway of Ghanaian literary stalwarts such as Prof. Kofi Anyidoho, Prof. Kofi Awoonor, Prof. Atukwei-Okai, Prof. Ama Ata Aidoo, Nana Kwasi Gyan Apenteng, Kwesi Brew, amongst others.
Nana Fredua-Agyeman Jnr. is a three-time Ghana Association of Writers Literary Award winner and Grammy Awards considerated artiste. Having won third (3rd) prize for his poem, ‘My Lost Friend’ in 2018, which is featured in the anthology. In 2021, he was adjudged winner of the first prize for ‘Where I Come From’ and the second prize for ‘Letter to Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah’ second prize in 2022. This made him set a record as the first writer/poet to win in all positions in the Kofi Anyidoho Spoken Word category.
Both of his audio albums, ‘Ponder’ (2021) and ‘Wonder’ (2023) were considered for nomination in the Best Spoken Word Poetry Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards. He is currently working on his third album, scheduled for release later this year.
The release date for the anthology is 21st March, 2026, which marks World Poetry Day. The anthology was published by Pencode Consult. For copies of the anthology, contact 0208279834.
