The Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé Ghana, Salomé Azevedo, says the company will continue to prioritise the well-being of its customers.

She made this known at the launch of the “Nestlé for Good” campaign, an initiative designed to promote community development and the holistic well-being of consumers.

According to the global food company, the campaign is a strategic move to deepen its social impact.

“The ‘Nestlé for Good’ campaign is our commitment to proactively tell stories that matter for people and communities while running a responsible, sustainable business,” Salomé Azevedo stated.

Beyond social goodwill, sustainable investment remains a critical driver of Ghana’s macroeconomic stability and GDP growth.

By investing in areas such as agricultural value chains, health, and education, companies like Nestlé help close the country’s investment financing gap—currently estimated at about 9% of GDP—while also creating jobs.

Highlighting the broader economic implications, the Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Ghana Industries, Seth Twum Akwaboah, lauded the initiative as a key driver of macroeconomic stability.

He noted that sustainable investments in agriculture and education are essential catalysts for Ghana’s economic development.

The campaign is built on three core pillars. The first focuses on nutrition and healthy living, aimed at tackling malnutrition.

The second pillar centres on environmental sustainability, with initiatives such as solar PV systems and the Project Tricycle.

The third pillar emphasises community impact, driving development through partnerships and empowerment programmes.

One such initiative is the Nestlé Cocoa Plan, which supports approximately 18,000 farmers across 11 districts with improved agricultural practices and income support.

With its focus on community progress, the “Nestlé for Good” campaign sets a benchmark for how the private sector can contribute to Ghana’s long-term socioeconomic resilience.
