Swedish top-flight side IFK Goteborg have completed the loan signing of Ghanaian youngster Issaka Baba Seidu.
The young defender joins Goteborg from FC Nordsjaelland, signing a season-long loan deal at the club until the end of the 2026/27 season.
The deal also gives the Swedish club an option to buy the left-back on a permanent deal should they be convinced by his performances during his loan spell.
Seidu came through the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana before being transferred to the Danish side to continue his development.
He was loaned out to the Superettan club Ljungskile with the aim of getting plenty of playing time back in March, with the loan deal going to plan before being recalled by Nordsjaelland.
While on loan at Ljungskile, the Ghanaian made 13 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
With a move to the Swedish top flight, Seidu will be hoping to continue his impressive run of form and hopefully return to Nordsjaelland's first team in the future. He will wear the shirt number 28 for the club during his stay.
The left-back will be playing alongside fellow Ghanaian Rockson Yeboah at his new club.
