Agona Nkwanta in the Ahanta West Municipality came alive on Saturday, September 12, as thousands of people joined journalist Samuel Kojo Brace, popularly known as Ahanta Pele, for a massive health and fitness walk.

The much-anticipated “Walk with Ahanta Pele” brought together residents of Ahanta West and participants from Accra and other parts of the country.

The walk started at Aboadi, where participants gathered before moving through the principal streets of Agona Nkwanta.

The procession continued through Agona Fie before ending at the forecourt of Baidoo Bonsoe Senior High Technical School, where participants took part in an aerobics session and other closing activities.

The event combined physical exercise with community engagement, creating an atmosphere of excitement and solidarity among participants.

Among those who joined the walk were members of the NPP Ahanta West Constituency executive, including the First Vice Chairman, Second Vice Chairman, Organiser and Deputy Organiser, Treasurer, Financial Secretary, Women’s Organiser and Deputy Women’s Organiser, as well as the Nasara Coordinator and Deputy Coordinator.

Also present were Sekondi Constituency Chairman, Percy Morgue Ansah, and the constituency’s Youth Organiser, Ben Hector Brooklyn.

Goodfellow Odei, a member of the NPP Communications Team, also participated in the event.

The walk further attracted media personalities who travelled to Ahanta West to show solidarity with their colleague.

They included award-winning Ekosii Sen host, Lawyer Osei Bonsu, popularly known as O.B., and Dominic Kissi, both of the Multimedia Group.

Their presence, coupled with the large turnout, added to the excitement surrounding the event.

Beyond the exercise, the programme provided an opportunity for residents and visitors to interact, promote healthy living and celebrate their shared connection to Ahanta and its people.

The scale of the event has also sparked renewed public interest in Samuel Kojo Brace's political future.

There has been growing speculation that Ahanta Pele could enter active politics, particularly in connection with the Ahanta West parliamentary seat.

He has not publicly confirmed any such decision.

However, sources cited in the discussions surrounding the event suggest that he could announce his political intentions in the coming days.

If he confirms his decision to enter politics, it would mark a new phase in the journalist's public life, as his visibility and advocacy for the Ahanta people have generated interest in his potential political ambitions.
