Politicians have been advised against dismissing people perceived to be politically loyal to their opponents whenever there is change in government.
Mr Hodari Okine, a victim of such dismissals, said such conduct was inimical to the development of the country.
“People who are working for the advancement of the state must not be recklessly dismissed,” he told Joy FM’s Super Morning Show hosted by Evans Mensah.
Mr. Okine was a Deputy Director at the Ghana Immigration Service but was transferred from there to the Free Zones Board in 2002 by the New Patriotic Party government under circumstances believed to be politically motivated.
Former Information Minister Stephen Asamoah Boateng is said to have orchestrated Mr Okine's predicament.
He filed a writ in court and the court ordered that he should be reinstated but that was never done.
Mr Okine said if he met his nemesis Asamoah Boateng anywhere and the former Information Minister was hungry and he had food, he would feed him.
“Generally I think the vicious cycle must be cut somewhere so that we all in Ghana can be happy people,” he stated.
