Police in Kumasi are investigating the murder of a Kumasi based currency dealer.
Reports say the body of the deceased, identified only as Atta was discovered several hours after his family reported him missing at a spot near Santasi.
He is said to have been invited by a client to exchange about one hundred thousand Ghana cedis for foreign currency.
The transaction failed to go through because the two could not agree on the exchange rate.
Nhyira News sources say the deceased returned with a friend who accompanied him to his shop at ‘18’, a popular black market spot at the Kumasi Central Market.
About two hours later, he responded to another call from the same client supposedly to conclude the deal.
That was the last time his colleagues saw him until news of the discovery of his bullet-ridden body broke.
Though police confirm the report, they will not give details because they say they are still investigating.
