The Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal Assembly in the Greater Accra Region will soon demolish unauthorized structures in the Teshie-Nungua municipality.
The specific areas to be affected include buildings at Tebibiano and its environs, Coco Beach, Regional Maritime University and the banks of the Kpeshie Lagoon.
In an interview with the GNA on Thursday, the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Daniel Amartey Mensah, said the owners of the affected structures would be prosecuted for building in unauthorized areas.
Touching on the nature of the roads in the Municipal Assembly, Mr Mensah said the Assembly was pursuing plans to continue with the expansion of the Teshie-Nungua road which links Tema, Ashaiman and Spintex.
He also said other roads which linked the northern corridor of the municipality would be tarred soon.
