Speaking at the ceremony, the Deputy Managing Director, Yousif Turkman, said the bank’s deposit has gone up by 80% since June this year, on the back of its three-year strategic plan, while total assets have also increased by 30 percent over the last quarter.
He said the bank will have 16 branches by the end of the three year plan, which will enable it pursue its objective of promoting intra African trade.
Foreign Affairs Minister Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni who was at the ceremony, urged the bank to facilitate the integration of West Africa.
He also urged the central bank to strengthen the regulatory regime to ensure that banks in the country operate strictly to the rules of the country.
