This week’s poem was recited by none other than an amazing and multitalented woman who has won the hearts of many in the theatre and arts fraternity in Ghana.
Dzifa Gomashie, Deputy Minister of Tourism Culture and Creative Arts is no doubt a very versatile woman and her place in the history of Ghana’s movie industry is well cemented.
Dzifa or Abla as she is affectionately called by friends wrote and recited today’s poem, ‘The girls who did and the girls who can’ at a mother’s programme during the Mother’s Day celebrations on May 10, 2015 at the African Regent Hotel in Accra.
In this poem, she talks about the aspirations of a young girl who aspires to be a great woman but in uncertain who a great woman is.
I know that it was a week ago but I can assure that you will enjoy it.
