President John Mahama has said he is horrified by the acid attack and subsequent death of the New Patriotic Party Upper East chairman Adams Mahama.
While expressing his condolences to the bereaved family, the president in a twitter message assured the culprits involved in the barbaric act will be brought to book.
Adams Mahama was attacked by two suspected assailants who poured the corrosive material on him. He died the following day at the Bolgatanga Hospital and has since been buried.
The attack has shocked the nation and has been condemned widely by all political parties.
President John Mahama took to twitter on Sunday, condemning the attack.
