One thing every (at least most) woman at a point in their lives wish for is to get pregnant and have children. Although pregnancy comes with its own issues, it is seen as one of the most beautiful phases in a woman’s life.
A woman’s body during this period undergoes grave physical transformation. This is where what to wear and what not to becomes a problem. The best outfit for a pregnant woman is one that allows the abdominal area to expand. This is very important for both mother and child.
In the past, pregnant women wore clothing that was either bigger than them or belonged to their mothers. Most people don’t even consider changing their wardrobe due to the ‘out of shape’ feeling.
However, this is not the case in a modern world where fashion is the order of the day and most women are career oriented, ‘even’ the pregnant ones love to look chic.
Unlike the olden says, pregnant women do not like to cover up their bumps. They are choosing varieties of clothes that fit their new shape. While others love to show their bumps others prefer to hide it, but whichever way you like to look during pregnancy, there is always a dress that suits your shape at all times.
Here is a list of must-haves when you’re pregnant
1.Leggings (tights)

You can never go wrong with a good pair of these. If you can afford it, two or three more is not a bad idea. These are freer and make you feel comfortable on days you don’t feel like being tied up in any glamorous clothes. For big bumps, just droop over the waistline below for more comfort. Leggings however, come in handy during those post-baby days when you have not gotten back to your flat tummy self.
2.Tunics

These over sized tops hit below the hip most times but depending on your height it might stop at mid-thigh. These tops hide and compliment bumps but often leave you looking very lovely. Prior to pregnancy, you might be able to ear it as a dress but as you go through pregnancy, pairing it with a leggings or skinny jeans works the magic.
3.Maxi dress

You cannot go without these. They have become really trendy with women of all ages – and these are for good reasons. When choosing maxi dresses especially during pregnancy, make sure you choose those with soft fabrics and easily drapes over your body. You don’t only need to buy maxi dresses when you’re pregnant…these dresses will take you through every stage of your life.
4. Tank Top (Long)

You can never have enough of these staples, but when seeking a tank with staying power and the ability to make the most of your figure during pregnancy, it is important to consider investing in the best one you can find. Look for stretchy microfiber blends, that hold your sides, and thick straps that can hide a bra and accommodate your overflowing chest. Those that holds your sides will give you shape during the first trimester, then whittle your middle after delivery. Wear under everything or alone. The longer length will accommodate a belly and give some coverage to your rear – especially helpful if you're pairing the tank with leggings or skinny jeans.
5. Wrap dress

When baby is not yet on board, a classic wrap dress is elegant and easy. Once your body starts to change, read just the fit by securing the dress's ties a bit higher (right under your bust) to play up the smallest part of your slowly disappearing waistline. Look for jersey and other stretchy, blended fabrics that will grow with you but snap right back into shape. If dresses aren't your thing, wrap-style tops are a great choice for any stage.
6. Stretchy skinny jeans

First things first: The term "skinny jeans" has little to do with how skinny you actually are. Rather, it has become a shorthand that manufacturers use to describe a range of jeans that have one major thing in common – a slim, curve- hugging fit that gives a smooth, elongated look. Go for a dark denim, which is universally flattering, and you can dress it up or down with flats, heels, or knee-high boots. Look for a pair with at least 2 percent Lycra or other stretchy material so it can withstand the growth spurt ahead, as well as spring back once you're in the "fourth trimester" and beyond. A well-sized pair can last you well into your second (and for some women, third) trimester, if you push the waistband beneath your bump, leave the top button undone, and top it with a long stretchy tank.
