The Chief Executive Officer of the defunct Ghana@50 Secretariat, Dr Charles Wereko-Brobby has counseled Ghanaians to be circumspect in expressing opinions on issues.
He says while everyone has the right to speak his mind, it is important they do so constructively.
"Everyone has the right to speak his mind...but it is essential they don't talk by-heart," he stressed.
Dr. Wereko-Brobby was speaking on Citi FM Thursday morning discussing a wide-range of issues, including his work at the Ghana@50 Secretariat, his involvement in the New Patriotic Party and his contribution to the media landscape in the country.
Dr Wereko-Brobby was displeased with the contributions of callers to Citi FM's "Talkback show", saying it was very disappointing.
"Oh! Let me express profound disappointment about your "Talkback show". It is an illogical, ill-informed gibberish; that’s what I will say to all of it,” he said.
This was in reaction to comments made by some callers who called into the “Citi Talkback show" to speak of what they termed “his mismanagement" of activities during the Ghana@50 celebrations.
Dr Wereko-Brobby maintained that while he supports the idea of people having the right to express their views on issues, it is incumbent upon them to do so with a great sense of responsibility.
