Intensive as the competition currently is in the local life assurance sector; SIC Life Company Limited is focused and prepared to carry on its established role as market-leader and product innovator as well as attaining even higher levels of achievement.
The premier life assurance company in Ghana is also focused and prepared to deliver continued security and profitability to all its stakeholders including agents, regular staff, shareholders and policyholders.
Mr. Issah Anafure, Managing Director of SIC Life Company Limited, made the above assertions when he presented certificates to 35 SIC Life agents who had undergone an intensive four-day course aimed at sharpening their professional skills.
The agents, who were drawn from across the country, received updates on completion of proposal and mandate forms, and policy wording as well as life assurance policy servicing relating to SIC Life policies including family security, flexi educational, final journey, family security, ultimate, and loan security.
The course was organized by management of the company and was held at the GNAT Hall, Accra.
Course facilitators from SIC Life included Mr. harry Staudt, Head of Policy Holders' Service; Mr. Nick Ampofo, Head of Marketing; Mr. Ben Adjettey, Acting Head of Underwriting; Mr. Esinam Dzirasa, Head of Planning; and Mr. Kwame Afrani of the Marketing Department ..
Mr. Issah Anafure noted that for the company to achieve its mission and objectives there is need for trust and cooperation among all stakeholders and hard work from all.
“There should be no room for complacency just because SIC Life has for years been firmly established as market leader and innovator,” he said.
The 35 course participants were selected from a total SIC Life agency force of about 500 as the first batch of this year's courses attendants. A second batch is due for training by the end of next month and SIC Life will offer the same privilege to all agents the company deems fit and beneficial to retrain.
Mr. Anafure, therefore, urged participants at the course to be more effective and efficient on the job.
They should also share their knowledge and expertise with others so that their own knowledge and expertise will be enhanced.
The closing session ended with open and frank interaction issues raised by the agents through' their Course Prefects. The issues touched on customer service delivery and motivation packages for agents as well as regular interactions between agents and management.
