Captain of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan and his Togolese counterpart, Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor collaborated with Zoomlion Ghana Limited to undertake a massive clean-up exercise at Pampaso in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi.
Asamoah Gyan and Adebayor joined by other stars, massively participated in the exercise and called on the general public to support Zoomlion Ghana Limited in the quest to keeping Ghana clean, green and healthy.
The Ghana captain in a statement noted that “sanitation is key and also everyone’s business”.
“We should not neglect our surroundings,” he added.
Popular Kumawood actor, Kwadwo Nkansah also known as D.J Liwin described the collaboration as a very fruitful one and thanked the management of Zoomlion for the massive work they are doing.
Mr. Robert Coleman, the Communications Manager of Zoomlion Ghana Limited also commended the Adebayor and the Asamoah Gyan Foundations for championing the waste management campaign.
He also added that to win the fight against filth, the assemblies and the waste management companies cannot win without the support of the people in the various communities.
Other stars who participated in the clean-up exercise include; Jonathan Mensah, Kwaku Manu, Mr. Ibu, Funny Face, Reggie Osei, Wayosi, Lucky Mensah, Agya Koo and Kwame Dzokoto.
