Hearts of Oaks' match day 20 against BA United at the Sunyani Sports Stadium on Sunday is in limbo Myjoyonline.com can confirm.
This is because sacked CEO of the home side Roy Arthur is threatening not to release the cards of the players as well as the registered jerseys for the crunch game on Sunday.
"I bought the jerseys myself; I paid for the players myself. Every single one of them. I have both the cards and the registered jerseys in my possession but i won't release them for the Sunday game," he told Myjoyonline.com Friday.
This is the new twist to the controversy that has rocked the Sunyani based club which is lying bottom at the league log with 15 points from 19 games.
Roy Arthur is accusing the Board Chair of the club Peter Nimo of illegally sacking him from the club.
He suspects Mr Nimo wants to take over the club just for the game against Hearts of Oak, take the gate proceeds from that game and hand over the club to him to manage.
According to him, he signed a contract with Mr Nimo to handle the club for two years. Within these two years, he has taken responsibility of all the costs involved in handling the club. He found it outrageous that the Board Chair, who has an eye on the Hearts game and the gate proceeds to be accrued, will spring a surprise on him with a sack.
Roy Arthur has vowed not to release the cards and the players for Sunday's game against Hearts. He has also threatened to sue the Board chair and ask him to refund all monies he had expended within the period he managed the club.
Prior to every game there is a pre-match formality which involves the show of cards and the jersey to be worn but with Roy threatening to hold on to his prized possessions, Sunday's game may just be cancelled.
Attempts to get Mr Nimo to get his side of the story and what he intends to do to stop this potential cancellation have proven futile.
