The Managing Director of Amalgamated Bank Limited, Mr Menson Torkornoo has urged staff of the bank to make exercise part of their lives.
According to him, he exercises his body twice every week, visits the Jim for massage and have a steam bath weekly to keep fit.
He said this when he addressed staff members of the bank after a health walk organized on Saturday.
With almost all staff members taking part, the health walk started from Ridge through Osu, through Danquah Circle and back to their Ridge branch.
A gym Instructor from the Ghana Air force gym, Joe was there to engage them in some aerobics which they were very pleased with.
The MD indicated that such a program would be organized every quarter in subsequent years, adding that “we don’t only collect people’s monies.”
Amalgamated Bank Limited was incorporated on May 29, 1997 under the Companies’ Code 1963 (Act 179) and was licensed by the Bank of Ghana on December 13, 1999 to carry on the business of merchant banking under the Banking Law 1989, PNDCL 225.
It started work on December 20, 1999 and has 18 branches spread across the country.
