Former Ghana and Aston Villa forward Nii Odartey Lamptey has backed Jordan Ayew to succeed in the English Premier League.
Jordan has joined his elder brother, Andre, in the world's most popular league after signing for the Villans on a five-year deal on an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old has become a direct replacement for Belgian striker Christian Benteke, who joined Liverpool for £32.5m last week.
And Odartey Lamptey, who moved to Villa from PSV in 1994, is confident Jordan will shine under the glare.
“English football has totally changed. [In] 1994-95 when I went there it was like kick and run and i went through a lot playing there but now things have changed and Jordan is a skilful player. [He's] very good in the air,” Lamptey told Joy Sports.
“I’m certain he will make it big there especially with the new coach Tim Sherwood. Jordan is the kind of player they need and I believe the young man will make his family and Ghanaians proud.”
