The Managing Director of Tema Oil refinery Dr. Kwame Ampofo says the fire outbreak at the refinery will not create any fuel shortage.
The outbreak on Tuesday morning claimed one life and injured several others.
A number of fuel tankers and sheds were also destroyed by the fire, which started at the loading bay of the refinery.
Speaking to the media a while ago about the fire, he explained that TOR has several other loading points to supply fuel.
According to him, his outfit has begun investigations to ascertain the extent of damage as well as the cause of the fire.
The Public Affairs Manager of the refinery, Aba Lokko, who spoke to Joy News after the Managing Director’s briefing, said the refinery will be able to meet its daily demand despite the blaze.
