George Gyau, the operations manager of Aduana Stars, is very unhappy with the way officiating was handled in Sunday's league game against Heart of Lions.
The Operations Manager blamed the referee for bad officiating which led to a win for Kpando side. Aduana, who sit second on the league table are gunning to win the league and were aiming to win to keep pressure on the league leaders.
With their loss against Llions, Aduana Stars now trail AshGold by four points with two matches remaining.
The Dormaa side lost the match through a penalty which was converted by Prince Acquah. The result was not taken well by everyone at the game, however.
"The referee put the results in his own pocket. We had a clear penalty in the first half, but he refused to award it to us, but rather awarded a dubious penalty to Lions.
"Despite all these frustrations, we managed to earn the equalizer, but the referee surprisingly disallowed it and as of now we don’t know the reason why," Gyau told Metro FM.
Gyau also accused Lions owner Randy Abbey of appointing a thug to attack him for his consistent complaints after the game.
“During half time, I approached the referee to complain about officiating and also told Randy Abbey to help ensure fairness in the game. He told me I have no cause to complain, because they also had one or two decisions going against them."
"In the course of the deliberations, he got angry and insulted me and when the game came to a close a macho man I saw him with Randy Abbey by name ‘Cyborg’ prevented me from entering the dressing room.
"He held my shirt and almost attacked, but for the intervention of the security men.”
Aduana Stars will play at home to New Edubiase in their next fixture in Dormaa on the 6th of September.
