Liverpool outcast Mario Balotelli has rejoined AC Milan just one season after he left San Siro for Anfield.
The 25-year old has returned to Milan on a season long loan deal after a muted showing at Liverpool last season in which he scored just one premier league goal.
However joining the Rossoneri this time round will come with strict rules.
The chief executive of AC Milan, Adriano Galliani, is committed to having Balotelli follow the rules and guiding principles of Italy’s Air Force. This is because the striker is famous for his notorious behaviour, his errant ways and uncooperativeness.
The new rules for Balotelli include a ban on smoking, nightclubs and out-of-the-world hairstyles.
His social media accounts will also be closely monitored as will his drinking habits. Appearing to training on time will be a priority as never before because of Balotelli’s record with punctuality. In effect, anything that will portray the club in a bad light will not be tolerated at Milan.
It appears Mario is ready to stick to some laid down rules for the first time as in his first interview after joining Milan, he said:
“I am happy to be back. I don't have much to say because I just need to train and prove myself...I am very motivated but I need to work hard and talk less...I just want to get back to work and have a good season, I have to work and that is it."
Many are those who believe the move to Italy is the last opportunity for Mario to prove his worth and increase his chances of a recall for the national team.
Balotelli has not featured for the Azzurri’s since last year’s World Cup in Brazil.
