Black Stars head coach Avram Grant is refusing to be drawn into the conversation of the much-talked about saga between Afriyie Acquah and Jordan Ayew.
Speaking exclusively to host of Asempa FM’s Sports Morning Show, Benedict "Moshoso", the Israeli was of the view the matter was an internal affair. For the coach, any decision or action taken by him will not be discussed in the public domain.
The former Chelsea manager however did not deny knowledge of the incident. “For me it is internal business, I will not discuss about this in public.”
When quizzed about the possibility of dropping the pair, Avram was adamant on keeping his cards close to his chest.
“How many people do we know in the rest room? I am sure everybody has different opinion so people can say whatever they want this is completely internal subject that I won’t discuss.”
“It is not football!”
The pair came into the limelight after Afriyie Acquah’s wife, Amanda, was allegedly heard on tape discussing her pre-marriage sexual escapades with Jordan Ayew as well as the perceived enmity between the son of Abedi Pele and her husband.
The pair have however both been called up to the Black Stars team for the double header against Congo (friendly, September 1) and Rwanda (Afcon 2017 qualifier, September 5).
