Morgan Schneiderlin has revealed what it is like to play for Louis van Gaal after having spent a few months playing under the Manchester United boss.
The 25-year-old was signed from Southampton for £25 million in July and is currently on international duty with France. Schneiderlin explained that Van Gaal knew him as a player but needed to learn more about what he was like as a person following his arrival at Old Trafford. "Van Gaal knew me as a footballer but he wanted to understand my character and my personality better," he told Le Parisien. "He set out his playing philosophy and told me about himself. "On the pitch, he wants me to repeat my performances with Southampton - that I play with the same aggression and that I win the ball back - but he's very strict and he's very hard to satisfy."

When asked about why he moved from Southampton, Schneiderlin said he could have spent much longer than seven years at the club.
"I could have stayed,” he said. “The club offered me a new contract and I felt at home, but I needed to get out of my comfort zone.
"I feel ready to face this type of challenge and I'm not putting myself under any unnecessary pressure.
“Anyway, I'm living my dream. I couldn't refuse Manchester United."
