The Chief Justice, Mrs Georgina Wood has ordered the interdiction of the Kpando Magistrate judge over allegations of his capricious use of powers.
Solomon Agbleze is said to have remanded one Christina Boafo, 57, for two weeks over allegations that she insulted him.
But the victim said she was rather insulted by the children of the magistrate judge after she instructed them to clear refuse they had deposited on her parcel of land.
Boafo recounted horrible experiences she endured in her stay in the cells alleging, the prison wardens prevented her from taking her bath for three days.
The husband of the victim accused the judge of victimizing her wife and called on the Chief Justice to bring the judge to book.
A statement signed by G.A. Tagoe, Director of Communications (Judiciary) on Friday, said Mr Agbleze has been interdicted pending investigations into the matter.
The committee charged with the investigations has two weeks within which to submit its report.
“Meanwhile, another Magistrate has been directed to take charge of the Kpando District Court," the statement said.
