Dominic Adiyiah and Sellas Tetteh have been voted young player and coach of the year in the ongoing Glo CAF awards currently underway in the Banquet Hall, Accra.
Adiyiah fended off challenges from South Africa's Kermit Erasmus(Feyenoord and South Africa U-20) Sani Emmanuel (Bodens BK and Nigeria U-17)to pick up the coveted award.
The Ghanaian looked the overwhelming favourite having won the Goal king and been voted player of the tournament in the U-20 tourney.
His coach, Sellas Tetteh could not just be ignored and he beat Diego Garzitto (T.P. Mazembe)John Obuh of the Nigeria U-17.
The National team of the year went to Algeria for their stupendous performance, beating rivals Egypt for their group's single slot for the World Cup.
The Black Stars of Ghana and the Elephants of Ivory Coast who all qualified for the 2010 World Cup unfortunately failed to pick up the award.
TP Mazembe picked up the African Club of the year and its player Mputu Mabi won the Best African player on the continent, 2009.
