Joshua Clottey is considering hiring a dietitian after what he says is a food-poisoning-induced-defeat to Manny Pacquiao in the WBO Welter weight bout in Texas Saturday night.
The challenger was all defensive in the 12 round bout against the world’s best pound-for-pound fighter, losing by a unanimous decision.
Clottey told Joy Sports hours after the fight that he suffered a severe round of diarrhea after he ate a local Ghanaian dish, banku and okro stew prepared with ‘kanwe’ literally known as salt peter.
Godwin Kotei who is trainer to Joshua Clottey said what happened to his boxer is an eye opener and will take immediate steps to hire a dietician.
“It is an eye opener to all of us because we take so many things for granted.”
“Things like a dietitian,” he told Joy Sports on Friday
