The NPP is to hold congress in August to elect its standard bearer for the 2012 elections. So far a number of personalities are known to be interested in contesting for the slot. Notable among them are Mr. Alan Kyerematen, Nana Akuffo-Addo, Mr. Isaac Osei and Alhaji Aliu Mahama. All these personalities are by no small measure qualified people who can lead the great party. But can all of them be said to possess the attributes and qualities that can win us back the presidency? Here is where I believe Hon. Isaac Osei stands tall even though many are those who may not know.
On the resurrection Sunday of our saviour Jesus Christ, I came across Hon. Isaac Osei at church where he had come to join the faithful to commemorate the resurrection of the savior Jesus Christ. Upon seeing the man and observing his demeanor and calm disposition, good looks and a charming face that exudes inspiration, hope and humility I could not help but conclude that ‘If NPP has resurrected with Christ then Hon. Isaac Osei must be the man’.
Isaac Osei has discharged himself creditably in every role that he has ever found himself. As Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK he performed so well, then came his appointment as the Chief Executive of COCOBOD. Whiles there, his performance cannot be downplayed by even his detractors as it can be attested to by Ghana’s cocoa production which rose to above 700 metric tonnes.
And now as a member of parliament, Hon. Isaac Osei is discharging himself creditably as a first time MP.
He comes across as the embodiment of a good leader who would be a great president should we as a nation, beginning with the NPP delegates, give him the chance to steer the affairs of our dear nation come 2012.
Hon. Isaac Osei is humble, God-fearing, affable, charismatic, competent and above all without any controversies whatsoever.
And lest I forget, he is a great speaker and orator. I quite remember sometime during his tenure as the CEO of Ghana COCOBOD, there was an event in Paris, France comprising Ghana and her partners in the cocoa industry. At that event Hon. Isaac Osei delivered a speech that held all present spellbound. Immediately after him came another speaker who represented one of the European power brokers in the cocoa industry. And before he started his speech he said ‘I hope I am able to sustain the interest and excitement among participants coming immediately after such a great speaker as Isaac, the CEO of Ghana COCOBOD.
The man was not being merely diplomatic and nice to Mr. Isaac Osei, he was jus being frank. Hon. Isaac Osei is a great speaker.
Fellow delegates let us give him the nod to safe ourselves of this camp or that camp nuisance and also to doubly assure ourselves of victory in 2012.
