The World Travel Awards recognises and rewards excellence in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry worldwide.

Ghana's Leading Hotel: Villa Monticello
“Our team strives to provide guests with a world class experience coupled with an intrinsic understanding of Ghanaian culture. It is incredibly rewarding for our design aesthetic and homage to some of Africa’s greatest leaders including Kwame Nkrumah and Nelson Mandela, to be recognized globally by the World Travel Awards, the “Oscars” of the travel industry,” said Laurie Awotwi, Managing Director and Partner at Villa Monticello.
The prestigious hotel provides personalised signature services ranging from organising regional private jet service, in-room massages and personal trainers, to finding original Ghanaian art for a guest’s personal collection.
The 2016 World Travel Awards winners for the Africa & Indian Ocean region will be announced at a Gala Ceremony in Zanzibar, Tanzania this spring.
“To win a 2016 World Travel Award in any of the categories we are nominated would be a tremendous honor for Villa Monticello as the only West African owned hotel nominated in the Africa’s Leading BoutiqueHotel category,” added Awotwi, a proven leader in the African hospitality industry, who has also been awarded with a TripAdvisor 2013, 2014 and 2015 Certificate of Excellence.
Voters have until 29th February to cast their votes.
