Tigo Ghana CEO, Roshi Motman said the company has invested millions of Ghana cedi in modernizing its network to improve customer experience.
She says because of the investment, Tigo currently has the most modern network in Ghana right now.
Speaking at a ceremony to announce the end of its evolution dubbed #LiveItLoveIt!, Roshi Motman explained that over the past year Tigo has invested heavily in overhead fibre in the Western Region and also improved its microwave networks in the Eastern and Northern regions.
She said that and other such investments have stabilized the network to a point where customers experience way less call drops, speech mutation and other network challenges.
"This is because our network, which used to be only 88% available is now 99% available within just one year so the chances of customers losing connectivity is much lesser now and calls connect much faster now," she said.

She said Tigo has also done a complete overhaul of its business model focusing on building a business with a long term strategy and some quick wins.
"On the customer front, we have improved service levels from 11 to 78% in one year leading to an improvement in customer satisfaction from 38 to 64% within the same period," she disclosed.
Roshi Motman explained that formerly customers had less opportunity to reach the customer care centre because the centre could take very limited number of calls, but with the opening of a new customer call centre last year, accessibility has improved and customers testify to that.
She also pointed out that Tigo has also shifted its advertising to include emotion and humour, adding that "our colours are no longer red, green, yellow and blue - we are royal blue with crisp white which is all part of the move to position Tigo as the most exciting brand."
The Tigo CEO assured Ghanaians of the telco's commitment to stay on the cutting edge of technology and bring products and services that empower every Ghanaian to do more with digital technology, which Tigo calls 'the digital lifestyle' agenda.
As of December 2015, Tigo was reporting a little over 4.8million subscribers but the CEO said their February figures show they have crossed the five millionth mark and counting.
She believes Tigo has become "smarter and attractive to top professionals, investors, partners, suppliers and most importantly to customers, and she acknowledges the staff of Tigo for their commendable role in making the network what it is today.
Deputy Communications Minister, Ato Sarpong who graced the occasion praised Tigo for the massive improvements it has chalked over the years.
The Minister also lauded them for the heavy investments in network optimization for improved customer experience, and urged businesses to take advantage of the opportunities that the current digital world offers to boost their operations.
