The Electoral Commission says all is set for Tuesday’s by-election in the Atiwa Constituency.
According to the Commission, the only thing left in its preparations is the printing of the ballot papers which will be completed on Friday.
Public Affairs Director of the EC, Christian Owusu Parry tells Joy News this will be done by Saturday, early enough for distribution to all polling centers on Election Day.
“The Commission will start printing the ballot papers today. The printing will take just a matter of two days. Hopefully by tomorrow we would have finish with the ballot papers and they will be sent to the constituency for the polls on Tuesday,” he added.
He said the PNC’s Kalsoum Abdul Kareem, occupies the top of the ballot paper, New Vision Party’s Apraku Padmore second with Emmanuel Atta Twum of the NDC and the NPP’s Kwasi Amoako Atta occupying the third and fourth position respectively.
He expressed worry over allegations of vote buying adding that might change the will of the people.
He called on the police to be vigilant to ensure everybody complies with the rules of the elections.
