Former Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama is proposing a constitutional review that will increase the powers of the Vice-President.He said the current constitution arrogates vast powers to the president, especially when it comes to sensitive information, while the vice-president is most often deprived of such information.Alhaji Aliu Mahama contends that the constitution must prescribe clearly defined roles and responsibilities for the vice-president.According to him, that will prevent the situation where vice-presidents can only operate based on the instructions of the president.Source: Joy News/Ghana
