IRRITATE ME

Push me, kick me and suffocate me even harder

Unbelievable as it sounds, but speechless you can actually be if when a familiar world turns to restructure you

Living a wrath you never thought once

A misery underneath your skin and the screams that your mind cannot fathom

A shadow felt on one’s shoulder, heavier than a calling

It could be man; it could be sin or a set back

You cannot hit your set target because of your demanding boss

You cannot think of growth because of your nagging wife

You cannot please your kids because you compromised their wants

You cannot receive that promotion because you refuse to learn

You cannot stay out late because your landlord needs to lock the gate

You cannot wear a white shirt and feel comfortable because you don’t own a car

You cannot have coffee in the morning because the coffee machine is broken at work

Now amongst the provokers of life, the only constant thing is YOU!

They speak different languages but mean one thing, MOVE!

A vision born out of a burden

A weight, minds cannot comprehend in the state of plenty

A light only recognized on an aisle of frustration

And an unforgettable scar so revealing

I have been driven to a place where pain and death cost the same

For my most valuable possession sunk in places I could not reach

Faith was weak and my thrive was lost

To glow by the expression of a smile, I couldn’t even afford

Nothing at that moment even made sense since

A craving image stood between hearts

A fog before my destiny seeking its own way

Regrets began to usher its way and fear sprang out of nothing

Now something inside so strong, discernment began to minister to my spirit saying;

To express your feelings is to risk rejection

To know the truth is to risk being lied and deceived

To help a brother in need is to risk a tight fist

To live in abundance is to risk the little things you have

To love is to risk not to be loved in return

Fear is temporary but regret is permanent

I need to lose consciousness to letting go physically, to exercise faith

Giving away my miserable life for a richer one

Because risk is free

Dare me to be taller than that definite aim

Dare me to plant my strength in faith that can break walls like Jericho

Dare me to love in my weakness and embrace irritation

You hassle my essence

You stir the life charge in me

You inflame the nostril of my breath

But you bless me because you beat me to my goal

So irritate me!
