Thursday Poetry Corner: Tormenting Night

A poem for your delight:

The night will be the usual,

With mosquitoes singing in my ears.

Their might increase when the light

Is overcome by the night.

When the electricity is turned off

for nature to take its course.

I dread this night will be the usual,

When the mosquitoes will pursue

Their prey ruthlessly.

When they will pierce their victim

With the syringe affix their mouth.

It hurts that they cannot

Be resisted despite their midget sizes.

They sing in excitement for the moment.

The moment their size cannot deliver victory

But their mouth.

I dread this night with passion

I dread this silent night.
