Joseph Ofori, a deflected member of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) said there have several death threats on his life.
Narrating the incident to Joy News, the independent MP said the NDC constituency secretary disclosed on a private station that news coming from his colleagues indicates the MP has been claiming he is a member of the governing party.
He said the Secretary warned him to desist from addressing himself as a member of the party else the Constituency executives would be compelled to inflict irreparable harm on him.
The second incident, he said, happened in during the Electoral Commission (EC)'s limited biometric registration exercise which commenced on the April 28 to May 8.
He claimed a group of NDC youth using a Mahindra van belonging to the party went to his family house requesting to see one Money man who happens to be his brother.
He said one man from the Kejebi Zongo disclosed the youth were furious and would have harm his brother had they set their eyes on him.
They said one of us [Money man and the MP] will be eliminated before the election, he added.
According to the MP one more day in the Constituency may spell his doom since “I don't feel safe simply because this has not been the first time.”
The same death threats, he revealed, were carried on his life in the round up to the 2008 general elections and has since worsened.
Meanwhile, the NDC Constituency executives have denied those allegations. They claimed the MP has cooked up those stories in order to worm his way into the party once more.
