Almost two months after a rainstorm hit the Tamale metropolis and ripped off the roofs of 36 school buildings the affected schools are still without roofs.
President Kufuor promised the roofs would be fixed when he toured the disaster areas days after the incident but no progress has since been recorded.
Residents of the metropolis told Joy News the situation coupled with the persistent rains affect teaching and learning. Some parents said they have been compelled to seek admission elsewhere in the metropolis for their wards.
