Mrs. Joana Appiah-Dwomoh, former Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, has asked constituency executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to step up their political education campaign to win more voters in the 2012 elections. She said they should work hard to tackle the misinformation, deliberate twist of facts and sometimes lies that were peddled by their opponents to poison the political environment. Mrs. Appiah-Dwomoh was addressing the monthly meeting of the Ashanti Regional NDC Old Guards Association in Kumasi. The association seeks to bring members of the party together to promote unity and progress of the NDC. The former Deputy Minister said the association was firmly on the ground and was working tirelessly to strengthen the party and make it more attractive to voters. She pleaded with the leadership to ensure transparency in their operations. Oheneba Asamoah Atuahene, Chairman, urged members of the party to rally solidly behind the government to bring development end economic opportunities to the people. He warned against rumour-mongering, back-biting, and internal power struggles that were creeping into the party and said this must end to prevent confusion and disunity. Mr. Stephen Asamoah, Vice-chairman, asked all party members to support the Mills Administration to make it succeed.
