A Public Health Consultant, Dr. Mark Amexo, has tasked churches to wage a crusade against all forms of corruption before the canker destroys the moral fabric of the country.
He said the increasing spate of white-collar crime was frightening and must be fought.
Dr Amexo was addressing a joint fund raising service by EP Church of Ghana congregation within the Ho Township to raise funds for a Kindergarten project of the SSNIT Flats congregation in Ho on Sunday.
He observed that often, people who amass wealth clandestinely were those giving front pews and positions at gatherings.
Joint services have been instituted in the township during which funds are raised to support the host congregation on a selected project.
Dr Amexo said kindergarten represented the foundation of formal education and must be taken seriously and that only committed attendants and instructors should be engaged to work there.
He also called for measures by stakeholders to arrest the dwindling performance standards in schools in the Volta region.
Twenty-five million cedis was realized at the ceremony which was attended by the members of the Bankoe and Kpodzi parishes, the Rehabilitation Training Centre (RTC) area, Mawuli Estates and Agortorme congregations.
