An avowed critic of President Mills is raising the red flag over what he claims are deepening cracks within the ruling NDC.
He said the situation does not augur well for the party in its quest to present a united front for the 2012 polls.
Ras Mubarak was speaking to Joy News after the weekend’s near attack on him by a mob at Radio Gold.
The mob attack followed his suggestion that presidential aide, Nii Lante Vanderpuye is one of those creating confusion in the ruling party.
Ras Mubarak claimed Mr Vanderpuye said he Mubarak was in Kumasi instigating party foot soldiers to rise up against the government at a time he (Ras Mubarak) was not even in Ghana.
But his comments attracted the wrath of some NDC foot soldiers who stormed the premises of Radio Gold to deal with him.
The Head of News at Radio Gold, Roland Acquah Stevens confirmed the incident but denied the mob scaled the wall to gain access to the station.
He said the mob were charged and used belligerent language.
Mr. Acquah Stevens said he prevailed on them to be tolerant of others’ views and after giving a litany of tenuous excuses why they should be allowed to attack Ras Mubarak, the angry group left in the minibus that brought them.
