Enterprise Group Limited, the parent company of Enterprise Insurance Company, has been listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange.The new company, EGL effectively replaces EIC on the bourse. The new holding company was created as part of measures to restructure the business.According to officials of EIC, the holding company is to help better manage Enterprise Insurance and two other subsidiaries; Enterprise Life Assurance and a real estate unit.Chief Executive of Enterprise Group, Otto told Joy Business as a group, EGL is in a better position to invest in areas that will improve returns to shareholders.He said the company was in the process of forming other subsidiaries to undertake other business ventures.For every share held in the insurance firm, EIC shareholders got five new shares in the holding company created.Source: Joy Business/Ghana
