The Police have arrested a 33-year old man accused of murdering his nephew in Nyagli in the Upper West Region.
Mumuni Abu is alleged to have murdered the 3-year old boy, Farham Ibrahim, for ritual purposes.
Upper West Correspondent Rafik Salam reported that when the deceased was found in the bush where he had been dumped, his genitals, kidney and part of his liver had been removed.
Ironically, the suspect was part of a search party that found the body.
Another member of the search team noticed bloodstains on Abu and upon interrogation, he admitted to committing the crime.
The suspected murderer was later escorted to the bush where he exhumed the missing body parts which he had allegedly buried for ritual purposes. He was subsequently handed over to the Wa Police.
The police say Mumuni Abu will be arraigned before court Wednesday.
Meanwhile the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Wa hospital for autopsy.
