Local Black Stars coach Herbert Addo says his side is capable of winning the Championship of African Nations as they await to discover their opponents in the group phase.
Ghana, who reached the final of the inaugural tournament in Ivory Coast two years ago are looking forward for the trophy in Sudan next year.
Addo will discover the identity of Ghana’s opponent for the second CHAN tournament on Saturday but has his target clear for the tournament.
“The objective will be what every Ghanaian wants in a tournament situation is to win the trophy. So we are going there to win,” Addo said.
Addo begun training with his 30 players on Monday in Accra but says he will try many more before settling on a final squad.
“The players have looked sharp because most of them have been active at club level. There are others who are top quality so you simply have to look at them. We will work hard towards achieving a strong team.”
