The Director of Communication at the Presidency Koku Anyidoho has said a book “Better Ghana Agenda top 50 achievements of the Professor John Evans Atta Mills-led government in his first two years in office” is to create a communication channel for Ghanaians to know what the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been able to do since it came to power.
He said it is a strategy by the Ministry of Information to promulgate the various projects undertaken by the Mills-led government for Ghanaians to know that the Better Ghana Agenda they promised is on course.
The Ministry of Information has compiled the book outlining the achievements of the NDC in the various sectors of the economy and giving meaning to the NDC's social democratic credentials.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Thursday, Koku Anyidoho revealed that he had copies of the book in his office.
He commended the Information Ministry for that initiative because, as he said; “I believe it is time Ghanaians are educated on the various projects the government has been able to do since it came to office”.
He also tasked journalists to do a fair assessment of the book when made public.
Meanwhile Alhaji Bature said he was not enthused about that move by the Ministry of Information, explaining that “this amounts to propaganda. Ghanaians should rather praise the government for its achievements and not the other way round (that the government would seek to blow its own trumpet.”
