It is emerging from the corridors of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that some bigwigs of the party want the presidential candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo, to part ways with Mr. Samuel Abu Jinapor, following the exposure that he has quietly been enjoying the financial rewards of the "Better Ghana" agenda.Mr. Jinapor, who flawless sources within the Nana Addo campaign office say is wobbling, was exposed by Mr. Kwadwo Twum Boafo, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Board, as someone who comes to his office to collect what he described as "Better Ghana" noko fioo.As at the time of filing this report, Jinapor had not been heard any where denying what Mr. Boafo said.Mr. Boafo's outburst was as a result of Mr. Jinapor's attempt to take a swipe at him for spending too much of taxpayers' time talking on radio.According to the sources, the top brass are worried because Mr. Jinapor's closeness to Nana Addo and the current bombshell is a serious matter that should not be treated lightly. The sources said the NPP top-guns are worried because Mr. Jinapor holds a very sensitive position as far as Nana Addo is concerned.According to the sources, the NPP stalwarts are concerned with the fact that Mr. Jinapor defected from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to NPP.The sources told The Enquirer that Mr. Jinapor has the traits of an opportunist and he must be dealt with at the highest level. The whole incident was sparked last Tuesday on Asempa FM, an Accra-based private radio station, when Mr. Jinapor lashed out at Mr. Boafo for spending all his time on radio, instead of working to the benefit of Ghanaians. He said Mr. Boafo is paid with the taxpayer money and so he could not use precious taxpayers' time to be doing politics on radio.Infuriated by Mr. Jinapor's attack, Mr. Boafo asked the host of the programme to question Nana Addo's aide on whether each time he comes to his office to collect 'Better Ghana noKo fio' he doesn't meet him working. What compelled Mr. Jinapor to go after Mr. Boadu was that (Mr. Boafo) had called Asempa FM, to express his opinion on the raging saga regarding Nana Addo's alleged addiction to narcotic drugs.Source: Enquirer
