Humberto Cuelho’s appointment with the interview panel of the Ghana Football Association has had to be pushed back to another day after the Portuguese failed to arrive in Ghana on Tuesday because of flight difficulties.
Ghana Football Association vice president Fred Pappoe says the inability of the former Portugal, Tunisia and Morocco manager to appear before the interview panel of the Ghana Football Association is purely down to problems with flight.
He says though that the football association is expecting him to arrive in Accra later on Wednesday night and that the eight-man search committee is available to interview him once he touches down in town.
Pappoe insists the Cuelho episode is no negative statement on the search team who have already interviewed the Serbian Goran Stevanovic and Herbert Addo the Ghanaian.
And he says despite the Cuelho delays the GFA will still be looking to appoint their new man on schedule in the first working week of the New Year.
