A contestant in the upcoming district level elections in the Ketu South District of the Volta Region, are accusing the District Chief Executive of bias.
Courage Azumah, the contestant, says Bernard Amable has been mounting platforms and asking the youth in the district to vote for Ernest Agbeli, a known NDC supporter.
Azumah in the Agbozume North electoral area, told Joy News although the elections are supposed to be non-partisan, the DCE had openly declared his support for his preferred candidate.
The DCE however denies the claims, saying he only admonished the youth to participate fully in the upcoming assembly elections.
Meanwhile an analyst with governance think-thank CDD Ghana, is urging more debate on the politicization of the local government elections.
Mr George Ofosu says the realities of partisanship should not be glossed over.
