The Ghana Football Association has officially announced David Duncan as new Head Coach of the national male Olympic football, the Black Meteors.
Coach Duncan has been tasked to qualify the team for next year’s All Africa Games and the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
The AshantiGold Coach is expected to assemble a team dominated by members of the 2009 FIFA Under-20 World Cup winning side.
David Duncan will be assisted by Wa All Stars coach Maxwell Konadu who has told Joy Sports he is ready for the job.
He pledged full support for Coach Duncan saying they have had good rapport over the years.
Meanwhile, Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, Fred Pappoe expects the new Meteors technical team to begin immediate preparations.
He said there was little time before the team is called to duty and hopes the coach will immediately set to work.
