Ghana World Cup star Jonathan Mensah brought joy to the lives of inmates of the Royal Seed Children’s Home in Kasoa with cash donation and goods for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Mensah, 20, fulfilled his promise to donate to the orphanage after a successful World Cup in June by doling out 2,000 Ghana cedis worth of goods and cash on Friday evening.
The items donated include 10 bags of rice, drinks and fruit juices, biscuits and a cash donation of GH¢ 500.
The Granada FC center-back danced and played with the children.
“It’s a joyous day and I really like to see them happy and play around. I believe these little ones should also benefit from what God has given to us,” Mensah told Ghanasoccernet.com
“We must always keep in mind that we have to give back to society and I believe this is what I can do to bring joy to my little brothers and sisters.
“I think no one brought these children here, its just nature and destiny and we shouldn’t forget them, we have to remember them all time. I brought this for them and its their Christmas gift. I think they will enjoy it.”
