Reports in Germany suggests Ralf Rangnick would welcome interests to become the next Ghana coach though the Ghana FA claims no knowledge of his availability.
The 52-year-old has suddenly become a hot commodity following his last week resignation from Bundesliga side TSG Hoffenheim – he is apparently one of two German coaches to be linked to take over from Roy Hodgson at Liverpool.
However the GFA Spokesman, Randey Abbey told Ghanasoccernet.com the FA is not aware of Rangnick’s availability.
“I am not aware of the emergence of the coach,” he said.
“All i know is that the committee would present its report to the executive committee on who should be the next Ghana coach very soon.”
Asked whether the committee’s report is likely to have a candidate from the head-hunting process captured within it, Abbey was in no mood to give anything away.
“I don’t know whether the report would capture that.”
He added: “This is the first working day after the holiday’s so we have to wait a bit on naming the coach,” in response to the delay.
